The Problem: Imagine if you had spent a whole year (or if you were lucky, a month or two) writing lots and lots of notes and these notes were the key to your understanding of certain topics and were the foundation of your revision. What if you were to lose them? What if you were to somehow damage them? There is a chance that you might read them back later and realize that they do not make a lot of sense/you are no longer clear on what the meaning is. Then what?
The Contemplation: I would suggest you do what I did; have your notes based upon on universal science glossary that is easy to understand. This way you could then write less notes (saving time) and use the glossary to start from the basic meanings and scientific terminology and progress though to the harder to understand. At the very least it would be good to use in conjunction with your existing notes to cover all the grey areas you have. I would go one step further also and bring these ideas into the modern age and have them focused upon one knowledgeable, easy to understand, constant, informative and ultimately helpful source.
I also found that when I was studying science there was a lot to take in and there are many multiple meanings within terms and words that mean exactly the same thing. These meanings, terms and words just come from different places and times. Who knows why they could not have just used one way or one description or kept the same words and terms instead of changing them? Learning all the new terms is hard enough, right?
I would recommend that anyone who is studying science or is new to the subject, and is wanting to learn more, visit THIS page and use it as a helpful reference when terminology gets confusing or you need to get a word meaning quick.
